It has been a super long time since I have put up a new post. I have been busy with other things lately, and not a lot to say about the Supra lately. For the past long while, the engine is mechanically pretty sound. In my free time I have been trying to get a decent tuning map setup. In the last couple weeks, I have came to the conclusion that tuning a car is nothing like building the car. It takes experience and a full understanding of how a car works…which I now know I do not know.
Last week I reached out to MVP Motorsports, and got rolling on having Chris tune it. He provided me my initial base map on Sunday night. I had a chance to fire it up, and it is better than what I have been able to pull off in 6 weeks. I sent him back the log files, and will await the next calibration file to use.
Now that the weather is great again, I am ready to get the car on the road. With having a professional tuner on board, I don’t think it is too far away. There is a small handful of things that I need to take care of in the engine bay, but they are nice and small.
Hopefully I do enough things to keep the blog going better than I have been lately…
Here is a quick vid of the initial start up with Chris’s calibration.
